What is your primary role in the Digital Tattoo project?

My primary role in the Digital Tattoo project is researching and writing for the Artists’ Series.

When did you start working with the Digital Tattoo team?

I started working with the team in December 2018.

How did you get involved in Digital Tattoo?

I got involved through my supervisor Kathleen Schaeffer, who is co-lead on the project.

Why do you believe Digital Tattoo is an important initiative?

I believe Digital Tattoo is an important initiative as it speaks to an inherent aspect of our society. Digital identity affects our lives in various, sometimes sinister ways. Being concious of your online presence is a vital step in ensuring you are protected.

What do you hope that readers will get out of Digital Tattoo?

I hope that readers will consider us a good resource to visit and to engage with.

What is your current professional role?

I am currently a Master’s of Museum Studies candidate at the University of Toronto. I also work as a student library assistant in my faculty’s library, the Inforum.

What are you most passionate about?

I am most passionate about museum collections, animal advocacy and posthumanist philosophy. 

How many languages do you speak?

Three! English, French and Turkish.
